For more than half a century, Bobby Burgess shared his love of ballroom dancing with young people through Burgess Cotillion. Drawing from his extraordinary career as an original Mouseketeer and star of The Lawrence Welk Show, Bobby inspired generations of students to discover the joy of dance while learning confidence, courtesy, respect, and lasting friendships.

Every season was made possible by dedicated parents, volunteers, instructors, and families who believed in the importance of teaching timeless values through dance. To each of you, thank you for making Burgess Cotillion such a special part of our lives.

Although our Long Beach program at The Grand has concluded, the tradition continues through Westridge Cotillion, directed by Robert Burgess, Bobby's son.
